This Valentine’s Day essential oil gift box brings multiple product design elements that seek to encapsulate it with more permanence. My objective was to prototype a unique artifact that could endure after the day was done. The essential oil is contained in a minute mason jar that evokes rustic simplicity, but it rests upon a padauk wood block that contrasts with solid refinement and a polished finish.  The center piece is accompanied by a small herbal and flower arrangement made from spearmint and jasmine: The actual ingredients in the essential oil.
